What is the best thing that I love about my work?
I love the ability to transform imagination into something visible. Creating an artwork from a blank canvas and seeing it slowly come to life is one of the most fulfilling experiences for me.
What is my idea of happiness?
Happiness for me is being able to dedicate my life to creativity, constantly learning and evolving while sharing my work with people around the world.
What is my greatest fear?
My greatest fear is not exploring my full creative potential.
What is the trait that I most deplore in myself?
Sometimes I can be too demanding with my own work because I always want to improve.
Which living persons in my profession do I most admire?
Craig Mullins for pioneering digital painting, Bobby Chiu for his imaginative character work, and Beeple (Mike Winkelmann) for transforming the digital art world with his ‘Everydays’ project.
What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work?
The uncertainty that sometimes comes with creative careers.
When and where was I the happiest, in my work?
When I am fully immersed in creating a piece and lose track of time while developing an artwork.
If I could, what would I change about myself?
I would like to trust my creative instincts even more.
What is my greatest achievement in work?
One of my greatest achievements has been developing my artistic identity as JEDART and building a body of digital artworks focused on visual storytelling. In recent years my work has also received international recognition. Three articles about my work were published in the Japanese magazine ‘365 Art+ Magazine’ (two biographical features and a special edition dedicated to artworks inspired by the planet Mars). In addition, one of my artworks was exhibited in a gallery exhibition in New York that presented Venezuelan art together with emerging international artists.
Where would I most like to live?
In a place where nature and creativity coexist, similar to the landscapes of Extremadura, Spain.
What is my most treasured possession?
My creativity and the ability to imagine new worlds.
What is my most marked characteristic?
Curiosity and the constant desire to improve as an artist.
What is my most inspirational location, in my city?
The countryside and villages of Extremadura inspire many of my thoughts and creative reflections.
What is my favorite place to eat and drink, in my city?
The traditional restaurants of Cáceres where you can enjoy local cuisine.
What books influenced my life and how?
The Lord of the Rings inspired my imagination and my interest in epic storytelling.

Superman, because he represents hope and the idea of using one’s abilities for good.

Stories are the foundation of my work. Every artwork I create tries to suggest a narrative.
